A few weeks ago I got a used copy of The Sims 3 Ambitions from Amazon. I've been playing The Sims 3 for about three and a half years on my PC and had no issues (apart from the odd glitch or crash) - until recently.
Although I got a physical copy of Ambitions, I found that when I opened the box to install the game, it was the wrong disc! It was The Sims 3 base game disc instead of Ambitions, and I tried inserting the disc to install it to see what happened and it just had the option to install the base game, which I obviously already have!
It wasn't the end of the world though because luckily the box had all the original leaflets and game booklet inside, so on the booklet I found the serial code and used 'Redeem Product Code' in Origin to download the game instead, which it seemed to do without a hitch, and I thought 'Problem solved'.
Or not, as it seems. Since downloading Ambitions, sometimes when I open my game and load it (so I'm playing my family) a message will pop up saying 'Missing Object Warning! Some objects could not be loaded and were replaced.' And the items that are missing are from the Ambitions EP (I know because one of my Sims has one of the Ambitions hairstyles). It's happened quite a few times and although there's a workaround to just exiting the game and reloading, it is quite annoying. I'd like to be able to load my game without anything going AWOL.
My game has the latest patch installed (1.69) and I have checked in the launcher that the expansions and stuff packs are all ticked. They always are, but I have noticed that sometimes the launcher doesn't acknowledge that Ambitions is installed and it doesn't appear in the list and I have to reload the launcher to correct it. Sometimes I have to tick the Ambitions box if it isn't.
Obviously this is quite irritating. I think something went wrong when I downloaded the game, but I've used the 'Redeem Product Code' function before without any problems, and had no problems downloading Ambitions. It's very strange. My game was working flawlessly (minus the odd glitch) until this point. There must be a fix. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?
One last thing, the EP files are in the same place as my other game files, but I'm wondering if it didn't properly download or some files are missing. I'm trying to give as much info as possible to help pin down a possible solution.
Also, FYI, I'm currently only playing a family that's in it's third or fourth generation and I wouldn't like to lose my progress.

Sims 3 free download can be taken from the link given at the end of this post. Check the download page for additional download links for the missing files. Also the keygen is getting blocked by antivirus if I had to guess. Try to add an exception for the file and see. Let us know how it goes.
